Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg visits Endress+Hauser

Gerlingen-based company makes an impression with state-of-the-art production systems and a sustainable energy concept

In cases where utility companies have to safeguard water purity or pharmaceutical companies are looking to produce higher-quality vaccines, they often place their trust in measurement instrumentation from Endress+Hauser, a leading provider of measurement and automation technology for the process and the lab. On 2 December, Winfried Kretschmann, Minister-President of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, paid a visit to Gerlingen-based Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis.

I’m highly impressed with the company’s innovation skills. Endress+Hauser is a model company in the area of Industry 4.0 and high-end instrumentation,” said Minister-President Kretschmann.

Mr Kretschmann was welcomed by Dr Manfred Jagiella, Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis and member of the Executive Board of the Endress+Hauser Group. Other participants included Sigrid Zimmerling (Managing Director of the Ludwigsburg Chamber of Commerce), Dirk Oestringer (Mayor of Gerlingen) and representatives of the ministry of state.

Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis develops and manufactures sensors, measuring instruments and complete systems for liquid analysis. The company was founded in 1970 and is headquartered in Gerlingen, Germany, with other locations in Groß-Umstadt and Waldheim, Germany; Anaheim, California (USA); and Suzhou, China.

The business’s continuous growth is reflected in the modern new buildings at the Gerlingen location. A comprehensive energy approach ensures a high degree of efficiency and makes the sustainability concept tangible. During the visit, Manfred Jagiella showcased the company’s intelligent products and solutions that help customers in the process industries to operate their plants in a safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner.

The company has been repeatedly recognized for the innovation capabilities of its more than 1,200 skilled and dedicated employees around the world. Dr Jagiella proudly pointed to the impressive number of more than 1,000 patents and patent applications in the area of liquid analysis alone. While touring the production facilities, Mr Kretschmann was impressed by the company’s extensive manufacturing power and state-of-the-art systems.

During a product demonstration, he was able to experience how innovative measuring technology is employed for liquid analysis in various industries and applications. “For us, the visit by Minister-President Kretschmann was a sign of major recognition. We are also pleased about the valuable discussions we had regarding the political framework, which presents an opportunity for us to continue to grow successfully,” emphasized Dr Jagiella.
