Changes to the Endress+Hauser Executive Board

Succession at the Group’s top management level results in new areas of responsibility

Fecha de publicación: 09.12.2025

Three new people will strengthen the top level of management at Endress+Hauser, with the Supervisory Board appointing Dr Mirko Lehmann, Professor Katja Windt and Helena Svensson to the Group’s Executive Board. The Swiss measurement and automation technology specialist is using this handover to realign the board’s areas of responsibility and hence achieve sharper focus. In this way, Endress+Hauser is positioning itself for the challenges of the future.

The Group’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dr Andreas Mayr, and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Pieter de Koning, are retiring in 2026 as planned. Over the next few months, they will prepare to hand over their current work areas and support their successors in the onboarding process.

Their successors’ areas of responsibilities will be structured so that they have clarity of focus in their work. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Peter Selders and Supervisory Board President Matthias Altendorf formulated these changes to the Group’s top level of management in partnership with the relevant bodies.

New opportunities through innovation

Dr Mirko Lehmann took up the newly created Chief Technology Officer (CTO) position on 1 July 2025. “This reflects the importance of innovation for Endress+Hauser’s sustainable growth and long-term success,” said Supervisory Board President Matthias Altendorf.

In addition to innovation and digitalization, the new CTO will be responsible for marketing, information technology and intellectual property protection. This includes accelerating the adoption of new technologies and working with the CEO to drive business development.

Mirko Lehmann holds a doctorate in physics. Since 2021, he has been the Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Flow, the Group’s product center for flow measurement technology, which has over 3,000 employees worldwide. He will be stepping down from this responsibility soon. Prior to taking it on, he worked for 14 years as the head of Innovative Sensor Technology IST, a Swiss sensor specialist belonging to the Endress+Hauser Group. Mirko Lehmann is 54 and has dual German and Swiss citizenship.

Collaboration in the production network

Professor Katja Windt will be the new COO. Holding a doctorate in mechanical engineering and having built successful careers in both science and business, she will join Endress+Hauser on 1 February 2026. She has been Professor of Global Production Logistics at the private Constructor University (formerly Jacobs University) in Bremen, Germany, since 2008.

In 2018, she switched to working full time in industry, serving since then as Chief Digital Officer and a member of the management board of the SMS Group, a German plant construction and mechanical engineering company.

In her new role, Katja Windt will be responsible for the Group’s global supply chains and operational excellence. She will also be in charge of the Endress+Hauser product centers. Katja Windt brings to this role a comprehensive understanding of digitalization, automation and system integration. “The goal is to further develop our international production network and our global supply chains over the long term,” said Matthias Altendorf. Katja Windt is 56 and a German citizen.

Human resources as key

On 1 May 2026, Helena Svensson will start at Endress+Hauser as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Currently, she is Vice President Human Resources International for the Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions of the US corporation ACCO Brands, whose brands include Esselte, Kensington and Leitz.

Previously, Helena Svensson gained a degree in business management and amassed considerable experience in various areas of HR at Bosch and Voith – two corporate groups with strong family roots.

As CHRO, Helena Svensson will be responsible for Group-wide HR management. She will also be in charge of training and education – areas in which Endress+Hauser intends to further strengthen its focus.

Matthias Altendorf: “As a family-owned company, Endress+Hauser has a values-oriented culture that puts people at the center. Developing our employees plays a key role in ensuring that the company remains successful over the long term.” Helena Svensson is 47 and holds dual Swedish and German citizenship.

Long-term thinking

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Dr Luc Schultheiss, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) Laurent Mulley and General Counsel Dr Heiner Zehntner will continue on the Executive Board. Peter Selders: “Customer requirements and market expectations are changing very rapidly right now. The combination of long-standing experience and additional skillsets on the Executive Board means that we as a team can drive new momentum.”

The current COO, Andreas Mayr, will make a seamless transition to the Supervisory Board on 1 May 2026. “At Endress+Hauser, we offer a high degree of stability and certainty, even in times of change,” Matthias Altendorf emphasized.
